I qualified from University of London in 1989 and was a GP partner until 2011. I have worked clinically in acute and mental health hospitals, walk in centres, general practices, blood transfusion service and a football club. I have a significant experience in medical training, commissioning, and Quality Improvement, (QI), which culminated in a master’s degree in QI in 2012.
I joined a London community trust in 2012 and was the Medical Director and Deputy CEO. I worked there until taking the Chief Medical Officer role in Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire in August 2022.
I have 2 grown up children who work in the South-West, care for elderly parents and look after 3 dogs.
