Connie is Associate Professor for Primary Care and Public Health on the NIHR Knowledge Mobilisation team at the University of West London and Imperial College London. She divides her time between research and practice as a GP and Clinical Lead for Community Health and Wellbeing Workers in Westminster, and as a Public Health Specialist for Westminster City Council. She trained in postgraduate medicine at King's College London and holds a PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Bristol.
Connie's research focuses on co-producing system-level solutions to health inequity, integrating applied health research, systems thinking, and participatory methods to build community resilience in underserved populations. She leads mixed-methods evaluations of locally embedded models such as Community Health and Wellbeing Workers, and collaborates with partners in the UK and Brazil to translate global learning into system change. She is passionate about community-led health creation and preventative primary care, planetary health and translational research. Her ambition is to spearhead national efforts on participatory system design that embeds equity, evidence, and lived experience at its core for a learning health and social care system.
