, , Hull University Teaching Hospitals Trust , Consultant Physician and Clinical Director in Elderly Care

Dr Kirsten Richards is the clinical director for elderly medicine and frailty lead at Hull University Teaching Hospital. Having graduated from Sheffield Medical School in 1994, she went on to complete her postgraduate training in Sheffield and Leeds before taking a consultant job in geriatric medicine in Hull in 2007. She has a keen interest in acute frailty and is proud to have led the successful development of the award-winning ED based frailty intervention team in Hull. When not working she spends her time in the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds trying to keep up with two young children in addition to her somewhat oversized pets - her current animal gang includes a huge Norwegian forest cat, a large Labradoodle and a gigantic bouncy Newfoundland puppy who continues to grow!
