Chris has been a consultant in palliative medicine for 19 years. He currently works at Whipps Cross University Hospital in North East London, in the community alongside hospital support teams to Waltham Forest and Whipps Cross, working across a very ethnically and economically varied community. 

He has a keen interest in medical education, especially using the arts to help in improving communication training. He is a senior lecturer at Queen Mary University of London and runs the End of Life Physician Associate Palliative Medicine training module at the Medical School.  

He has worked as a consultant in both the charitable sector and in the NHS, working in rural and inner city practices. He has also worked extensively with hard to reach communities, be they homeless, substance users or minority groups, trying to improve access to Palliative Care Services.
